Why this site exists
Most people lose accounts and money in simple, preventable ways: reused passwords, fake login pages, and recovery phrases stored in the wrong place. Good advice exists, but it is often buried in jargon or written to sell something.
We cover one topic in two equal halves. Everyday passwords is for anyone with an email or bank login. Crypto secrets is for anyone who holds crypto. The name comes from the 25th word, an optional crypto passphrase that shows how the two halves connect. If you are new here, start with our guided paths.
Editorial standards
Every guide on this site follows the same rules:
- Plain language first. Every article opens with a short answer, then goes deeper under clear headings. Each page shows a level, from zero to advanced.
- Honest trade-offs. Every method has a failure mode, such as fire, theft, loss, forgetting or coercion. Our guides say what a method covers and what it does not.
- Dated and reviewed. Every page shows when it was published and last reviewed, because standards and products change.
- Primary sources. Where we rely on outside facts, we link to the original standard or official guidance.
- Safe examples only. We never show a real secret. Any crypto example comes from public test data and is marked as unsafe to use.
Guides are written and reviewed by the 25th Word editorial team. We use AI tools in our writing process, and a person is responsible for what we publish. If you find a mistake, tell us and we will correct it.

This site never requests, stores or transmits passwords, seed phrases, passphrases or private keys. Nothing on the site needs one, and nothing ever will. If anyone claiming to represent 25th Word asks for them, it is a scam.
Our advice is general education. We are not a wallet provider, password manager, exchange or financial adviser, and we cannot recover lost accounts or funds.
